The Youth Organization
This organization is a blue print for receiving a youth training which will prepare youth to live a life of mutual benefit all and brighten their future according to Buddhist precepts. It is a form of a national scout movement to suit local values. Today, youth, male as well as female, are not conscious of the value of the great potential in themselves. The strength of youth which is a force that can benefit themselves as well as others is misdirected towards enterprises which bring them evil consequences. Time has come to make the youth realize that can their youth is a force that can be directed to bring great blessing to the country and the world in general if used correctly.
The words “Without developing the individual person, the country cannot be developed. Let us develop the good in the human being and then develop the world”, are full of great wisdom. It is an always accepted fact that “The child is the father of man”, and that today’s youth is the future citizenry of a country. It is through the moral excellence infused in them that leads to citizens who will build the future of the nation to uphold nationality, the county and the religion and act with patriotism and for the general good of all. This is the basis of the concept of the “Thurunu Saviya” movement.
This society had been initialized to guide the youth for the success in compliance with the motto “Yuwa chare brahmachariyan” and the society carry-out immense religious and social services. Such as,
- Monthly services for the patients in hospitals.
- Annual Blood donation campaigns.
- Medical clinics in rural and underdeveloped areas.
- ‘Shramadana’ Campaigns.
- Aiding victims in nationwide natural disasters.
- Organizing seminars to enhance the youth’s character, knowledge and economy.
